By Car:

From London, Birmingham, Bristol etc.
Traveling west towards Plymouth and Cornwall, the M5 turns into the A38 at Exeter,
stay on the A38, after approximately 25 miles turn off on the A384
to Totnes, Kingsbridge and Dartington. Follow the A384 to the roundabout passed
the Dartington Cider Press, turn right onto the A385 and after 0.5 miles
turn right at Lownard Cross to Week.Lownard Cottages will be found on the
right hand side of a left hand bend, just before a bridge over Bidwell Brook.
Turn right into the cobbled lane,
and No.3 Lownard Cottages is the third cottage on the right!
Parking area is opposite the cottage.

From Plymouth and Cornwall ...
Traveling east on the A38 approximately 16 miles from Plymouth turn off left
at Marley Head on the A385 following the signs to Dartington and Totnes.
After 5 miles turn left at Lownard Cross to Week.
Lownard Cottages will be found on the right hand side of a left hand bend,
just before a bridge over Bidwell Brook. Turn right into the cobbled lane,
and No.3 Lownard Cottages is the third cottage on the right!
Parking area is opposite the cottage.


By Bus:
Bus X80 (run by First) stops on the A385 only a short walk from the cottage,
and runs to and from Totnes, Paignton and Torquay in one direction, and to
and from Ivybridge and Plymouth in the other. Bus X80 runs every hour from
about 0800-2000hrs Mondays to Saturdays, every two hours Sundays.
There is one late bus back from Plymouth on Mondays to Saturdays at about 2300hrs.

Bus X80 takes only about 5 minutes from Totnes Station
(not the forecourt - stops on the main road near the station).
The X80 connects with other buses at Totnes for Dartmouth, Kingsbridge,
Salcombe and villages between. At weekends and daily during summer it's possible to
change at Plymouth and take bus 82 across the middle of Dartmoor.

By Train
Week is only 1.5miles from Totnes Station which has regular National Rail
services from many parts of Britain. First Great Western (www.FirstGreatWestern.com)
run regular services from London, Reading, Bristol, and South Wales, Virgin Trains (www.virgin.com)
run from Bristol, Birmingham and the north of England.
Both companies carry cycles free with advance reservations.
